International Timber’s Intelligence range offers bespoke solution for Rose Builders

International Timber recently teamed up with Regal Joinery and completed a project for Rose Builders, based in Cambridge.

Regal Joinery primarily undertake bespoke projects, some of which require a solution-based supplier, which has given us a platform to build upon our working relationship and allowed us to introduce the team to our full range of products and our unique and dynamic Intelligence offering.

The project in question focused on traditional style deep-set windows, finishing at 500mm deep and 5.9m long. The laminated solution that we provided not only met the dimension requirement, but offered a cost-effective way of stabilising the window frame to its original fixture.

The primary challenge that the client had faced was sourcing a supply of European Oak FSC that would offer stability and efficiency, with the appearance of the solid oak not being compromised by the introduction of a laminate material – both of which International Timber’s Intelligence solution overcame.

A spokesperson for Regal Joinery, said: “The Bespoke Joinery package on the Architect-led project for a Farmhouse extension in White Colne presented us with the challenge to source wider, larger and far longer dimensioned Engineered Oak to what was currently available on the market.

“To resolve this problem we worked closely with International timber who took on the responsibilities of finding a solution. With their intelligent approach and keen attention to detail they helped us to overcome many obstacles related to such a unique job.”

This project required an exceptional approach and a solution that would offer conformity in the design – to avoid exposed glue lines – whilst offering strength to minimise any movement.  International Timber’s custom-design laminated product met all the specification requirements, including a high-quality colour match.

This ensured a cost-effective product and enabled Regal Joinery to accelerate the manufacturing process on their end, enhancing the overall efficiency of the project.

The success of this project has already resulted in increased demand for custom engineered timber requirements and unique solutions.
