International Timber sponsors supreme jockey
We are delighted to be sponsoring Jodie Crawford, silver medallist at the recent SEIB winter novice championship.
Jodie and her horse Clever finished second in the Hickstead qualifier – with only two qualifying positions available, they have cemented their place in the final rounds of the show jumping championship.
UltraBed began sponsoring Jodie in 2012 and have been supporting her alongside International Timber as a local initiative ever since. Jodie said: “It is amazing, the support they have given me over the past few years has been second to none. I am so honoured that companies like UltraBed and International Timber have stuck by me throughout the start of my senior career. It would have been very difficult without their help and support.”
International Timber supports the event by providing softwood shavings for horse bedding under the UltraBed brand. As an organisation that cares about the environment, sustainability and recycling, IT gives all softwood shavings to Ultra Bed to ensure zero waste, and a comfortable place for the horses to rest.
UltraBed shavings are bagged direct from the timber processing mill based in Grangemouth, Scotland. The shavings are taken from our production lines as a by-product from virgin material, which makes each bale Ultra environmentally friendly.
The next round of Jodie’s competition is growing ever-closer, and the showjumper is feeling confident. She said: “I am very excited about this season with my horses, the past few years have been slow and steady producing my young talented string of horses to a good level. They are now up to a very competitive standard going out every weekend picking up results.
“This up and coming season I have a few goals that I will hopefully go out and smash, especially with the way the horses have been going I am very optimistic.”
